‘Artfulness’ – An Evening of Inspiring Dance

Forty Steps Dance is performing in Saving Grace Dance Ensemble’s “Artfulness” concert.

With a passion to collaborate and share the stage with other dance companies, Robyn Goulette, Artistic Director of Saving Grace Dance Ensemble creates a strong program that is diverse and exciting, with something for everyone!  

The program includes professional and pre-professional dance companies from Massachusetts, New Hampshire and guest artists originally based in New York City.

Saving Grace Dance Ensemble’s mission is to present spiritually uplifting performing arts events and opportunities for dancers to be part of something special, keeping art alive and dancers dancing!  

Performances are outdoors at Windhover Center for the Performing Arts, 257R Granite St, Rockport, MA.

FINALLY, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 27th Season Spring Concert has been rescheduled to September 19.

With guest artists violinist Katharina Radlberger and dancer Jake Corcoran.

Nahant’s very own modern dance company will perform two shows: 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm! Everyone is welcome! Families and individuals, couples. Reservations, masks and social distancing required. Seating will be limited. Bring your chair or blanket. Only family groups of 6 or less.

Forty Steps Dance will be performing at the Salem Arts Festival 11-year celebration! For three days each June, this FREE family-friendly festival transforms downtown Salem, MA, into an opportunity for the arts community to showcase their talents. Looking towards its 11th year, the festival boasts attendance numbers in the thousands and celebrates all the arts: painting, photography, sculpture, dance, music, writing, film, new media, performance, theatre, poetry, culinary, and more!

40 Steps Creative Dance Workshop

ArtWeekWhat are the 40 Steps that make up the choreography of Forty Steps Dance?

Find out in this upcoming workshop!

Learn from choreographer Sallee Slagle and the dancers of Forty Steps Dance while exploring the movements that make up Sallee’s choreography.

A one of a kind experience, this workshop will teach participants the 40 steps used by the Forty Steps Dance. Sallee Slagle along with company members will teach different movements used in their choreography for participants to learn and put together into their own movement sequence. The workshop will end in a performance where participants can create their own “40 steps” sequences.

This unique workshop is for adults and children ages 8 and up. Attendees should come ready to move.

Admission:

Children (age 8-17): $15
Adults (age 18+): $20
Family (up to 4 participants; includes parents and their children): $30

 

This workshop is a part of ArtWeek, presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center.
